| * Harmonica Guy "The Rye" Dagan is one of Israel's leading Blues Harmonica Players, as well as a vocal performer/composer/lyricist and musical producer. *
Age 7, he endured his father leaving home, an event that left a mark on him forever & shaped his musical universe. 25 years ago, at age 10, he got his first harmonica from his step-father, never stopped playing since, learning anywhere he could, mostely from old recordings, having no other harmonica players around to teach him. *Son to one of Israel's most famous soul singers, Tsillah Dagan, he always followed her live shows as a child, later becoming her composer & stage partner for the 10 years prior to her untimely death from cancer. *He Produced and performed with "The Molecules", Israeli vocal quartet rock-soul cover band* played on singer Sharona Nastowitz's Album in the song 'Free'** Guy Dagan is half of Blues duo Lightning' Hits The Rye, singing & playing the harmonica with Lightning' Assaf Barak, one of the best Guitar players in Israel. *
Getting together with blues singer Ephraeem Shamir, former member of Israel's mythological seventies band Poogie (Kaveret), he plays LIVE twice a month at Shablul Jazz club at Tel Aviv's old harbor .These days Guy works as a recording session harmonica artist, a harmonica teacher married to Rinat and a prowd father to his new born baby boy, Ori Ezra.
