| Band ini terbentuk pada tahun 2006 tepatnya pada saat tanggal 08 Desember. Berawal dari suatu pertemanan sekolah biasa dan mereka bosan dengan pelajaran di sekloah, maka dari itu mereka mencoba mengekspresikannya lewat bermusik.Mereka sepakat untuk menganut sebuah aliran Punk Rock, karena menurut mereka Punk Rock adalah musik yang jujur tak ada pembatasan dalam berkreasi. Akhirnya mereka menamai band ini DETECTIVE, yang sebenarnya tidak memiliki sebuah makna yang berarti, karena nama Detective sendiri terinspirasi dari sebuah film/komik kartun ‘detective conan’ dan sebuah kaca pembesar yang slalu ada di dalam tas sang drummer. Kami mengandalkan sound-sound catchy dan ketukan-ketukan yang variatif dalam menciptakan lagu-lagu yang berirama melodic dengan dibumbui lirik-lirik simple yang terdengar agak konyol.
