Come celebrate with AOC as they unveil some new material for the 1st time! ************************************************************ ************************** ONE OF THOSE TIMES WHEN EVERY SINGLE PERSON COUNTS! I thoroughly checked out Little James' page (sometimes being too skeptical). The bio, such a simple and loving request... and a Daddy's promise... made it impossible not to add this page and request others do the same! Within the bio, the word "distraction" jumped out at me. I can completely relate and feel it's more than just a distraction... it's a "connection" too! While going through treatment, days or months stuck in a hospital, parents too (sometimes more than their children) feel completely cut off from the world... sometimes feeling a desperate need to connect to the outside world and what better way than this, if they physically can't do so! Please consider adding Little James' page and help him reach his newest goal of obtaining 1 Million friends! :) James, and his family, aren't asking for anything more... Just a distraction, help in obtaining a simple goal (which also helps raise awareness of childhood cancer), a friendly and loving connection and a little compassion! <3 C PLEASE HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN LITTLE JAMES' LIFE! Banners can be found on James' page (click his pic!) ************************************************************ ************************** ABOUT ME: The best part of my life, ever, is my Daughter, Tara. As long as I can remember, I've always dreamed of one day having a daughter, and this is one dream for my life that came true! (I know, but I love her so damn much!) I'm single, always have been (never married), probably always will be...I'm a free spirit! Not to say I haven't had my share of long term relationships, or that I will never settle down. But, I'm holding out for someone very special, who really understands me and won't try to jealously restrict my need to reach out and freely express love to others - in a humane way, of course ; ) I attended College on and off after high school and throughout my young adult years. And, although I quit just short of completing my degree in Deaf Studies, I did complete units for College minors such as Music, Philosophy, and Psychology. Once upon a time, I was fluent in Sign Language and also received a Deaf Interpreting Certificate. However, my skills now are rusty. I should have majored in business, as I always end up in business management -- something that comes easy to me. Anyway... ULTIMATELY, IF ALL GOES ACCORDING TO PLANS, THIS PAGE WILL BE DEDICATED TO MYSPACE "ARTISTS TO RECOGNIZE" -- I am one of the many non-artists on MySpace. However, years ago I was an artist of sorts. I've been writing songs since as long as I can remember (been a while now, though). My grandparents even bought me a piano for my 9th birthday so I could keep singing and writing. I sang in every choir group in school (yeah, I know), advanced or not, since kindergarten. I even auditioned for a H.S. jazz / rock group...made it (there were four singers, rotating soloist, with the other three as backup). We performed in little venues around town - my first exposure (haha!). I also started singing /writing /playing in miscellaneous bands, either already formed, or a couple a friend and I started (nothing mainstream). Later, I found myself involved with a lot of musicians in the L.A. circuit. I could be found at a different venue every night of the week, as happens when you meet other artists. As my own projects faded out, I became more involved with friends' bands, typically helping with creative input, vocal backup arrangements, and other trivial things; sometimes mic set ups and sound checks too (and, usually the only girlfriend allowed in the studio during recording sessions...go me! haha!). Over time, I moved on with my own boring life. But, something has been missing ever since. Music=my peace of mind. Although the following original "about me" is true, and no longer as fitting - since the aforementioned has been added - strangely enough, I think it's kind of funny! So, it stays!... (at least for now)... Lots of interests, but none explored anymore...no time, no life and no fun to speak of. Need to reinvest my time into things to bring my sense of self to life again. Music feeds my soul, my every mood, most any kind, anywhere, anytime. Singing is my outlet and yet my song writing has diminished into non-existence. Still, I desire to reinvent, express myself once again...Maybe then I will find an inner peace that seems to be missing, maybe then I will have something worthwhile to speak of....
