| ULTRA slick/ULTRA smooth...these are just some of the traits that lie within dj BLITZN.
Arguably Invercargill's 1 Electro/House DJ,Blitzn seems to find solice in the overseas scene moreso Australia as he consistently delivers banging nites whether its mixing ELECTRO[preferred style] OR D&B[the more aggresive dance driven music].His methods are sometimes unorthadox but at the same time structured.This comes down to being over-analytical apparently...RESIDENT DJ @ TILLERMANS & mixing 3 nites a week its a no wonder why he is so damn good.Having djayed in various clubs around the city with residencies to gloat for the last 5 years this DJ has quickly picked up the pace & embraced the extra time he has had behind the decks!!
10/2/08 Just switched from PC to MAC & Reason4 to LOGIC8 in a quest to further the PRODUCING element of BLITZN...At the moment i find myself divulging more & more time within PRODUCTION.Currently re-working my own versions of the latest tracks and my own content!So keep an ear out for my new tracks which will be posted up here as soon as they are complete! UPDATE:19/10/2007: SNEAKY SOUND SYSTEM's-UFO [BLITZN GRIME & GRUNGE mix] is finally posted up!!6 weeks in the build & built entirely from the acapella UP!! Keen for some feedback,so feel free to leave a comment. UPDATE:6/11/2007 Have just posted up my first ORIGINAL track titled SOULRISE...features sweeping textured soundscapes & long releases on the devices,it also has massive amoounts of Reverb & Side chain compression on each device in someway or form...Uplifting ELECTRO 3am styles for sure!! UPDATE:30/11/07 Posted up GIVE IT TO ME remix from Timbalands album Shock Value.The vocals will be the only thing to remind you of the song,apart from that its been smashed into the mould of ELECTRO HOUSE!! UPDATE:14/12/07 Posted up Flaunt It remix from TV ROCK ...Twisted Electro Funk sums this track up!!only 10 days in the build!!the BLITZN 2008 remix of TV ROCK's Flaunt It is here!!Inspired heavily from TONY ARZADON , KLAAS and TOMMY TRASH !!!! UPDATE:5/2/08 The last 6 weeks i have been working on UNLOVE's worldwide remix competition.The track is titled EMOTIONS from Tommy Grant... Being a song which is a bit deeper than id normally work with i found it challenging to make the melody fit with the somewhat downbeat vocals... Inspired heavily from DIRTY SOUTH & KLAAS i have managed to put together an upbeat yet melodic song...The vocals i found needed ALOT of work requiring generous amounts of Reverb/Delay & EQ to bring it all together...But i think in the end its all about progression which this track shows!! As always keen for feedback & i have even let u myspacers rank the song to how u hear it!! BLITZN NZ d(-_-)b Just recently he has been finding HUGE inspiration from the production skills of TONY ARZADON this guy is pretty dam impressive with his production skills,very much like Eric Prydz,so if u like that kinda stuff check out his myspace! VAN SHE TECH also make great remixes along with KLAAS these guys seem to trashing the scene up & throwing in some grimey grungey basslines to dirty even the dirtiest house. saying that DIRTY SOUTH has been a consistent dj/producer to look upto aswell. He also finds inspiration from the MELBOURNE house/electro scene with being a major influence on the styles & direction that he seeks along with TV ROCK / Dean Paps / T-Rek / Adam Bartas / Chardy and the rest of the crew working it... Dirty South at it again!!respect!! |

Music:Member Since: 6/10/2007Band Members: -Me -My Laptop -REASON_4 Influences: At the moment i would have to say that DIRTY SOUTH has had a huge influence on me.The way he harmonically & sometimes brutally puts together the driving riffs that he does blows me away... Dj Delicious is another producer i have a lot of respect for...i find he has intricate drum sequences that i would have to say are really well put together and the way I would do it too.
