About Me |
|
| My name is Pat Clark and I've been playing guitar since my friends and I saw the Beatles and other bands on the Ed Sullivan Show over 40 years ago. John Guetchow, Danny Stafford and I got instruments and formed a band, the HOLD OUTS, in 1965. We didn't go far, but the fun and excitement has kept me going through many other musical situations. Some were short-lived, but the list of bands and what I played goes something like this: The HOLD OUTS - 1965 - guitar (Beatles, Kinks etc.), SOMETHING ELSE - 1966 - guitar (same members), The LIME SIDEWALK -1967- guitar (Yardbirds,Cream, Hendrix), The INSIDE COVER - 1968-69 - guitar, bass (Byrds, Doors, Beatles, Hendrix), PIGEON SHIT - 1969-71 - guitar (MC5, Rationals etc.), FOODBAND/STRUGGLE - 1973 - soprano/tenor/bass sax (World, Jazz, Blues and beyond, Sun Ra influenced), CLARK-DUKE UNIT - 70's - tenor sax (Charlie Parker to John Coltrane), COOL RAY BLUES BAND - 70's - tenor sax (Chicago-style Blues), THREAT - 1979 - vocal, guitar, bass, alto clarinet (original exploratory rock/spoken word), PYRAMID - 1980 - guitar (instrumental jazz-rock). After Pyramid broke up in 1981, I spent the next 20 years playing mostly at home and fooling around with some primitive recording and doing an occasional gig. I now perform in the area as a singer-songwriter. | |
