| Silk Abrasion is a five piece, heavy metal powerhouse of sound from Dayton, Ohio. Born in May of 2005, Silk Abrasion is bringing something to the table that people have been starving for in the music world for far too long. In an industry of cookie-cutters and flavors of the week, Silk Abrasion brings "authenticity" front and center, capturing the listener's complete, and undivided attention. Consisting of bassist Tim Hankinson, vocalist Ryan Alexander, guitarist AJ Brock, drummer Chris Chapple, and guitarist Chris Elliott, the band has wasted no time getting down to business. Be it live, or in the studio, Silk Abrasion's chemistry, confidence, and charisma shine through. Their "pull out the stops" approach to each song is evident in both the music, as well as the vocals. Now, with the bands' recent signing to Hipgnosis Records, their debut album entitled: "The broken heart... The brand new skies" slated for a May 28th release, and a summer tour in the woks, Silk Abrasion is set to take the world by storm.....
