| matt williams is bringin the funkd up white boy funk back! the screenname: z son et lumiere contact for booking or questions: ani.funk@gmail.com matt williams is an all around guy, picked up a bass initially to play in punk and rock bands. after several years the focus switched and blended into a focus on funk and jazz. you can kind of explain his endeavors as a backwards tale, he joined orchestras without any knowledge of the styles and learned the ins-and-outs of classical music by throwing himself right in the fire. usually you would want to study classical music formally before attempting it, so instead of studying orchestral styles he's decided to study jazz at rowan university, which is what you should really throw yourself into the fire to learn. as twisted as his musical journey has been matt williams will give you turns and knots with beautifully arranged chord melodies, to funkadelic grooves, to growling pedal tones in any setting you want him to play. you can contact him for any kind of gig, and he will have no hesitation accepting it. |
