| For a long time we've felt that things in the world, the atmosphere and energy of things, were coming to a crossroads, and humanity would be faced with a choice: do we continue down our current path of self-destruction, descending further into chaos and hopelessness...or do we make a turn, for the better, and go down the road less traveled, the road to self-realization, to growth, to love...to peace. In today's world of technology, we are offered a variety of distractions from the world's true problems. Hunger, homelessness, poverty, are all pushed to the back of our minds by stories of the latest Hollywood scandal or political mudslinging. The problems of the poor and unprivileged remain silent and untold. The truths of humanity, once so bright and clear, are now so lost in the mix of selfish gain and monetary worth, that their lights are naught but a flicker in the dark. The time to take the road less traveled is now. Never before has humanity been in such a position to act, to change things, and come into our full potential. The time is ripe for change. The Green House is not simply an eco-friendly entity. It is not a "hippie hangout," nor a group of so-called "tree-huggers." We're not just about changing the environment and the way that products are made. We're about changing ourselves, too- the way we think, act, feel. The way we sense things, other people, nature around us. We're about being one with each other, the earth, and God/Universe, for all are connected in the most intimate way. We're about realizing and fulfilling our purpose, our full potential. Living green is more than just living eco-friendly. It's about living as one with the earth; living in peace with yourself, your truths, and being connected to your spirit. It's about opening your heart and mind to the possibility that we can be more than we are now, that the potential for real, fundamental change, is within each of us. We must open ourselves up fully, to each other and to the earth. We decided to build The Green House on the foundations of change. The floors and walls grew and will continue to grow with each new dream, goal and idea. We want to change the world, one house at a time, so that earth is no longer described as a blue jewel in the heavens of space... but a green one. The time has come for change.
