Young. Talented. Driven. Persistent. Passionate. These are five words that can be put together to describe 5 Years and Counting. Even though the members of 5YAC may be young, they have proven track records as seasoned musicians. They have played in amazing venues all over the southwest such as the legendary Whisky A Go Go and the Knitting Factory in Hollywood and the Pan American Center in Las Cruces,NM. 5YAC is ready to hit the east coast throughout the summer. 5YAC has also shared the stage with many amazing bands such as Eyes Set to Kill and Motion City Soundtrack just to name a few. Their talent caught the ear of record producer Sylvia Massy-Shivy (Tool, RHCP, System of a Down) and soon they found themselves locked away at RadioStar Studios in Weed, CA for over a month to complete their debut upcoming EP entitled "With Toughts But Not Regrets" which is to be released later this summer. The EP shows the versatility of the band. The band has gone through many member changes, as well as the sound. The remaining constant is the originator and frontman/guitarist of the band, Sean MacDonald. He also holds the story to the name 5 Years and Counting. So if you see him, be sure to ask him..it makes for a great icebreaker to a conversation. Sean's persistance has kept his family, friends and fans alike all on edge to see what he is going to come up with next. Currently 5YAC is a two-man operation featuring Sean with long time friend (back to the good ol' days of Unbroken View) Will Rodriguez on piano. The two show tremendous passion in their music and writing and it can really be shown through songs like Take Me Home, When Heroes Fail, among many, many more.
