| La Coacha is a comedienne, singer, dancer, blogger, and parodist known for her witty humor, colorful presence, and hilarious web series, which have garnered her fans from all over the world. Her name is Spanglish for “life coach to the stars” and her trademark is ‘chisme,’ the Spanish word for “gossip”. And ‘chisme’ is what La Coacha is all about!
La Coacha comes from a very rough neighborhood in Tijuana, Mexico but she moved to Hollywood to pursue the
American Dream . Fans refer to her as the ‘Latina Lucy,’ or ‘Female Borat.’ Many have even called her a mixture of ‘Charo’ ‘Triumph the Insult Dog’ & ‘Weird Al Yankovich,’ all wrapped up in one deliciously spicy burrito.
La Coacha has been a finalist on Ryan Seacrest's Red Carpet Challenge on E! for the 2007 Emmy Awards and participated in the new season of ‘Last Comic Standing.’ Her videos have been also been featured on Hollywood's most hated website, PerezHilton.com.
La Coacha’s internet shows include Chisme Time! ,which fans refer to as “Talk Soup with a Latin Twist” and Gaywalking, a popular spoof of Jay Leno’s Jaywalking, which finds La Coacha interviewing members of the gay community about celebrity happenings, taken place in West Hollywood.
While her videos are extremely popular, La Coacha is best known for her musical parodies, which has her putting a unique twist on hit songs by pop divas ala Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, among others. La Coacha’s growing fan base has acquired her a cult following in the thriving internet video phenomenon. No stranger to controversy, La Coacha is hated as much as she is loved. Her thick accent, no-holds-barred sense of humor, and wacky videos have angered many, including the paparazzi.
