They're a talented group of singers, dancers, and actors, ages 4 to 22, who are making a major impact on vital community and world concerns: issues like improving the environment, stamping out drugs and crime, and building friendship and trust amongst people of all ethnic and racial backgrounds. They're distinguished young ambassadors to the world at large who are using their art to bring a message of hope and goodwill to civic and social groups, to community outreach programs, to private and public schools and institutions, and, through their own regular variety shows, to people of all ages, from all walks of life.How Did They Get Started?KIDS ON STAGE FOR A BETTER WORLD was started in 1992 by producer Jean Dale. Her dream was to allow willing children to be able to make a direct, tangible contribution to the creation of a better world through their inherent talents and tremendous enthusiasm. Drawing on her considerable experience in Hollywood's music and film industries, and with the help of dedicated parents volunteering their time and energy as directors, vocal coaches, and choreographers, she was able to put together the nucleus of a group that grew faster than anyone had dreamed possible. | |
