Mr. Nilsson | Monkeypop Was bitte ist Monkeypop und wer macht hier wen zum Affen? Mr. Nilsson macht niemanden zum Affen – Mr. Nilsson macht Monkeypop: Funky Disco-Kracher, versehen mit einer anständigen Portion Rock, abgerundet mit einem Sahnehäubchen Jazz. Klingt affig? Mag sein. Wir lassen uns nun mal nicht gerne einsperren, denn bei unserer Expedition durch den Dschungel der Genres ist das einzige was zählt der Groove, versehen mit schönen Melodien. Ende 2006 haben wir uns geucht und gefunden. Auf eine Hand voll Konzerte folgte schon im Juni 2007 die erste Demo EP „On the move“. Die fünf Songs wurden u.a. auf „Radio Q“ vorgestellt, die Rockballade „As I run“ erhielt zudem Airplays beim Internetradio „RMNradio“. Anfang 2008 fällt nun endgültig der Startschuss: Nach einer halbjährigen „Praktikanten-Weltreise-Urwald-Pause“ einiger Bandmitglieder sind wir nun wieder vereint und möchten auf jede Bühne klettern, die sich uns in den Weg stellt… Mr. Nilsson | On the move! ================================================== Mr. Nilsson | Monkeypop What the h*** is Monkeypop? And who makes a monkey out of who? Well, Mr. Nilsson does not – but they play monkeypop-music: Real funky dancefloor blasts, combined with elements of rock music, provided with a dish of Jazz. Sounds weired? Maybe. But the boys and girls from Mr. Nilsson don’t wanna be pegged as something. On their expedition through the jungle of genres only the groove matters machted with nice melodies. End of 2006 they found each other. Only a fistful of concerts later, in June 2007, the band presented their first EP “On the move” which includes five great songs. The local radiostation “Radio Q” had an eye on the band and presented their songs in their show. Moreover the rockballad “As I run” got several airplays at “RMNradio”. After a short break due to stayin’ abroad for studies of a few bandmembers in 2008 the starting shot is fallen definetely.
