| La Jolla Music Review: by Robert Young :::Hunter Flatz “Music of the heart” Hunter Flatz’s songwriting is so sincere and honest a style so unique filled with passion soft melodies extremely talented and spiritual. First time I heard Hunter’s music was in San Diego California at a small club the shy and soft spoken artist sat down on the stage floor with guitar in hand began singing a tune called ” Drop of Water” the club went silent I was taken back on how simple and unpolished music can be and still sound great , reminded me of early Van Morrison, Bob Dylan or Bruce Springsteen. Hunter played five songs and received standing ovations at the end of each tune. I caught up with Hunter after his performance and told him how much I enjoyed his music and asked “Do you have any CD’s for sale?” He stopped walking put down his guitar case turned to me and smiled then said “Thank you” thank you very much for such wonderful compliments , am sorry but I don’t have any CD’s for sale but I’ll be more than happy to play you another tune. On top of being an amazing songwriter Hunter Flatz is a gentleman .
