About Me

A brief history of Tom...

Singer-songwriter, but not in the bad way. I'm currently living in Sweden's fifth largest city (that's right, look impressed) Linköping, and trying to find gigs here.

I like to play the rock guitar, but without a band it seems inappropriate, so I play the acoustic guitar instead. I would like to put a band together so I can play the rock guitar again though.

Former guitarist with Academy Morticians and Bullet of Diplomacy . In early 2008 thanks to the inspiration of my good friend and fantastic singer Teresa Stewart I finally moved from occasional backing vocalist to "singer" with the above-heard results.

The Future Is Never Too Late/Unheralded v2

Here are 2 very different demos.  The first, The Future Is Never Too Late, is a relatively minimalist recording; 2 guitars, drums, bass, vocals, very quick to record and simple to mix, subsequently ac...

Life After Life, Monsters Prowling In The Dark, Wondering Where The Minutes Went

In case you hadn't noticed I put three new songs up in the last week. They all just came to me at once, as often happens.  Song ideas are a bit like buses; red, 5 metres tall, those foldy down seats fo...

Couple of new songs...

Managed to find some space amongst the boxes in our new flat to finish off a couple of demos I started before Christmas.  Seems like the flat has good solid walls, as noone has complained about the si...

What Have You Got To Be Scared Of

The main riff of this goes back a long way, and an early typically unwieldy version got the Dan McKee treatment in the Bullet of Dimplomacy days - in fact major parts of the verse melod...

Body Parts

Body Parts is the all-singing version of the instrumental "A Million Years of Bad Luck" I had up here before, with a load of drastic changes.  I think I've been working on this song for about 6 y...

Birthday party gig

Last night I fulfilled a lifetime's ambition and played a gig to fourteen 8 and 9 year-olds at a birthday party.  It was an unrivalled success!  Having said that, once I'd finishe...

"A Million Years of Bad Luck" demo...

...is possibly the last song Bullet of Diplomacy were learning before we split up.  In fact you could say it was the song that ended Bullet of Diplomacy!  It wasn't.  But trying to play...

"Things are alright" demo

On Friday I finally got the Boss BR600 digital 8 track recorder I've been looking for since Christmas, and we had some intimate fun together this weekend.  Monica didn't get a look in.  "Thi...

Paranoid and Sunburnt

I've realised I would be quite happy for my CD player to break with Skunk Anansie's first album lodged in it, and listen to nothing else, it's so good!  Everything on that album satisfies me, it'...

Yesterday I purchased the soundtrack to Mr Bob Hoskins' proudest cinematic achievement, Super Mario Brothers.  This is because it has an exclusive song from Extreme called 'Wh...
