The Robert Harris Group is one of the premier Jazz / R&B groups in central Florida. In addition to our regular club dates, we have performed at the New Smryna Jazz Festival, the Winter Park Art Festival, The Seminole Jazz Series, and the Kissimmee Jazz Festivals, and recently The Daytona Jazz Festival where we opened for Walter Beasley, Spyro Gyra, and Jean-Luc Ponty. We are currently being considered for several national festivals next year. IE: Seabreeze Jazz Festival, Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, Berks Jazz Fest, Atlanta Jazz Festival, and more. We have been asked back to perform at several concert events hosted by Orlando’s premiere smooth jazz station WLOQ 103.1, and Tampa Bays WSJT.

A cool breeze of Smooth Jazz is exactly what the latest project from Robert Harris brings to us. The nylon-string, acoustic guitar player has a superb sense of melody with articulate playing reminiscent of Peter White and Earl Klugh. The Orlando resident is originally from Motor City (Detroit), however Robert paid his music industry dues on the West Coast in the 1980’s in Los Angeles for ten years.

COOL BREEZE is a delightful, relaxing listening experience guaranteed to raise your spirits and bring you hopefulness and joy. Songs we are most drawn to include the confidently melodic title track, the hit single, “Midnight Rendezvous”, the world music infused, “Cry Of My Heart”, the inspirational, “Search Me”, the bright and lovely, “Standing By A Friend” and the lacey ballad, “It’s Your Love”. Robert wrote most of the songs on COOL BREEZE, as well as produced and arranged the album along with the assistance from long time friend, Steve Takahashi.
