| all my life, rock and roll has been my life, my love, my addiction, my therapy and my passion. i've just let a few bad decisions in my romantic life kinda' sidetrack me. so i'm here, starting over again, both in music and on my personal road...these songs are not old, about 5 years, they DO sound a little dated, but they will give you a small taste of what i sound like. i am NOT married to this style - i can, do, and love to sing just about anything short of rap and country!! hahaha...lately, i've been feeling a bit restless, in need of something new. so i thought i'd go with a trend and begin a tribute band. my favorite bass player, kirk young (of swan song) and i are putting together a heart tribute band. we're calling it, "bebe le strange." will keep you posted on how that all goes! all the pieces are coming together nicely. Influences: i am heavily influenced, as was led zeppelin ( my all-time favorite rock band), by the blues masters. recently, i have discovered the incredible talent of blues men like son house, robert johnson, now mississippi fred mcdowell (thanks to my brother, gene, who makes BEAUTIFUL amplifiers, BTW, and is a blues man all his own.) i still love italian opera and really wish that i had had the chance to see luciano pavarotti. but i guess i have missed my chance. the drama and power of opera is i think why i loved the bombastic nature of harder rock bands like led zeppelin. there is a connection there, for me. but i love any music that gets to the root of who you are, and...twists... a little. everybody's got the kind of music which does that for them! hopefully, i will do that for someone somewhere! ; ) personally, robert plant and led zeppelin do it for me... Sounds Like: been told i sound a little like ann wilson of "heart," also janis joplin... you decide... doesn't matter to me i just do my thang. anytime a female has a high power vocal she seems to be compared to those two. hahaha...
