EMBOLADA, founded in 1986, is one of the oldest still existing samba groups in Germany, the country where (besides of Brazil) most of the samba groups in the world are located. It consists of about ten to more than twenty musicians of all ages and plays different batucadas (only drums and percussion) and also pieces with chant, wind instruments, cavaquinho, guitar, and keyboards. Founder Detlef Biedermann is also composer of most of the songs, and re-arranges songs from other Brazilian artists for the group, which, in fact, is also a samba school but does not play only sambas.

EMBOLADA, fundado em 1986, &eacute um dos mais velhos e ainda existindos grupos de samba em Alemanha, o país onde h&aacute a maioria de grupos de samba no mundo fora do Brasil. Ele consiste de mais ou menos dez até mais que vinte músicos de qualquer idade e toca batucadas differentes, mas também peças com canto e sopros, cavaquinho, violão e teclados. Fundador Detlef Biedermann também &eacute compositor de a maioria das peças e arranja canções de outros artistas brasileiros para o grupo que, na verdade, é uma escola mas não toca somente sambas.

EMBOLADA, 1986 gegründet, ist eine der ältesten Sambagruppen in Deutschland, wo es außerhalb Brasiliens die meisten dieser Gruppen auf der Welt gibt. Sie besteht aus etwa 10 bis mehr als 20 Musikern aller Altersstufen und spielt verschiedene Batucadas (reine Trommel- und Perkussionsstücke), aber auch Stücke mit Gesang, Blasinstrumenten, Cavaquinho, Gitarre und Keyboards. Gründer Detlef Biedermann ist auch Komponist der meisten Stücke und Arrangeur von Cover-Versionen von brasilianischen Songs für die Gruppe, die zwar tatsächlich auch eine Schule ist, aber nicht nur Sambas spielt.
