Music:Member Since: 6/15/2005Band Website: aleladiane.com / holocenemusic.com Band Members: Alela Diane Menig- and magic has happened with: Dad- Tom Menig on Mandolin or Slide, Tom Bevitori on Bass, Mariee Sioux with her lovely voice, Alina Hardin's angel voice, Matt Bauer on Banjo, Michael Hurley's knee fiddle and my favorite duet, Otto Hauser's Percussion, Neal Morgan on Drums.... Many friends make sound! I thank them for making it with me. Influences: My parents singing in the kitchen- I'd wake to hear their songs- I'd fall asleep to them. Also, things heard when I was tiny--"Kate Wolf"- more folks should know her songs-they really speak for California. Old tapes of "Patsy Kline." Lindsey and I would sing along to "The Shangrilas." I thought my parents were listening to "Graceland" before any of my other friends, but I think Mariee's family must have beat us too it. Sounds Like: Dropping stones under the water?
