Myspace Backgrounds About CatGut From the streets and alleyways of Good Old Astoria comes the sounds of guitars, mandolins, banjos, saxophones and snare drums. Up the stairs and into the livingroom, a small light over a music stand the only light in the room. A jam is in progress and the music is of a type yet unknown and unlabeled by man. There are six musicians standing in the middle of the room, heads down, smiles hidden under their beards doing a jazzy version of Shady Grove. The apartment smells like incense and beer and the song is familiar, like an old friend waving from across the park. Join us for our Friday Night Jam and sing along if you know the words. |
