Hi there, I'm Kristof aka the K-Man, I'm a bassplayer in several bands and I have a background in art and printmaking. To make ends meet I also work in stage-construction/music industry, building stages, doing light & sound, etc. In the 90's and 00's I played bass with a.o. Ill Balance (metalcore, feat. members of Indish and Moker ), Q-Shift (Afghan Whigs influenced rock), Yellow Moon (rocksteady), Macaron Central (reggaexover), Masters Of Dignity, ... In summer 2006 I bought me a double bass and since then I'm the bass player for a.o. the Dump Brothers . Others projects I'm currently involved with are It Said and KPM (with the drummer and guitarist of the Macaron Central ) and I'm doing my 8-track stuff which are basically grooves I record at home and cut and paste, tracks which are audible on this profile page. My girlfriend Kun Fang , who does the female vocals on some of my tracks, is a professional painter, check out her works! Nomad Swing is an acoustic swingjazzband I joined in the summer of '08 but they existed for quite some time already, we play mainly Django- and other standards. Hillbillies From Hell is a busker-band consisting of ex-Dump Brother Fin the Lonesome Fin and Viking Daddy Dave Robertson (ex-The Valves, currently in Wall Of Sweat ), we play them old timey countryballad and rock'n'roll songs. In fall '08 I was asked to become the Chocolate Lovers ' new bass player, a request I gladly accepted, considering their smooth mix of dissonant guitar eruptions with a Velvet Undrground/Sonic Youth-flair and fat, creamy rockabilly licks. |
