Tattoo Savage magazine made its debut in January of 1994. At the time, Tattoo Savage was created to serve as a publication to showcase the tattooed and pierced people that society did not think fit into its “mainstream” philosophy. There was a feeling that if a person went out and heavily tattooed their bodies or, worse yet, poked holes in themselves and adorned themselves with jewelry, there must be something wrong with them and they certainly did not “fit” into what that society deemed as appropriate or correct. Paisano Publications, LLC, had a different vision. Tattoo Savage magazine saw a need to bring this lifestyle into the light in a positive way. By joining forces with Paisano Publications’ two other tattoo magazines (Tattoo and Tattoo Flash), Tattoo Savage was able to showcase not only the heavily tattooed men and women of this lifestyle, but those that chose to alter their appearance in other fashions, such as branding and scarification, without judgement of whether such modifications were right or wrong. Again, Tattoo Savage magazine took the lead in bringing the “fringe” element of this lifestyle into the light in a positive manner.Now you can help Tattoo Savage grow even more! |
