| `Historias de Luna' (Stories of Moon) is an acoustic crusade for the recovery of lullabies. This album, released in June 2007, gathers 18 songs, mostly from Venezuelan and Latinamerican composers, but also from American and British authors -such as Bobby McFerrin and the British folk singer-songwriter David Lewis. The songs are smoothly performed by the Venezuelan singer Norma Madrid, superbly accompanied by guitar player Pedro Elias Colombet and excellent guest musicians such as Lester Paredes -flute and sax-, Eddy Marcano -violin-, David Carpio -double-bass-, Adela Barreto -piano-, Pedro Vásquez -cello-, David Lewis -folk guitar- and the voices of Hernán Alcalá, Eddy Marcano and Octavio Rodríguez. The lyrics are mostly in Spanish, but there are also a couple of songs in English and one in Portuguese, from the Brazilian singer and
songwriter Renato Motha.
The idea was born six years ago, inspired by Norma's first baby, Sebastian, so that it has been thought for helping parents and babies to relax and go to sleep, but it happens to appeal to many adults, being increasingly relaxing as you get through the eighteen stories.BUY THIS ALBUM:In Venezuela: Esperanto, Recordland, Town Records, PPM, Jazzmanía
