Oak Cliff is mecca for young black Americans, and hip hop music is the driving foce for these young people to cope and deal with life in their won measure. Just as previous generations, today's hip hop articulates and addresses the dreams, goals, empowerment and artistic abilities to the people. Danny Da Oakcliff BEAST (OC-BEAST) captures the essence of his city from power to pain. Born Danny Weaver on june 9,1989 in Dallas Texas,(OC-BEAST) attended Carter High School located in Oak Cliff. BEAST has been rapping locally since age 13. He writes his own lyrics and music. BEAST is working on his first CD in this year. BEAST says, "I was born a thug that's what gives me the words and the music in my head. I was born to do this."
