| This space is a tribute to Renato Társia (1949 - 2001): singer, songwriter and musician from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This site is maintained by some Renato's friends to keep his memory and his music alive. ____________________________________________________________ _____ Renato Társia was born in Belo Horizonte, MG on January 31st, 1949. At the age of 14, he started his musical formation, and at the age of 18, he became a professional musician and formed his first band, The Vips Four. It’s from that time his first compositions. After that, he formed other bands, such as The Twengers, Boot Legs, Castle Rock and Mother Texas, and then bands were formed using his own name.He worked for years as a teacher, translator and interpreter of the English Language and also performed in many plays as an actor. Idealist and a lover of nature he chose to live away from the big cities and moved to Lagoa Santa, a small town near Belo Horizonte, where he built his home on his own style. He lived in Lagoa Santa from 1987 to 2001.For years, Renato, a pioneer of country music in Brazil, has been a known name not only in Minas Gerais State but also in other Brazilian states. He gave concerts in all the great nightclubs of Belo Horizonte, Lagoa Santa, in other cities of Minas Gerais and also in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Goiás. In 1984, he worked at Radio Alvorada of Belo Horizonte as the presenter of “Hits of The American Country Music” where he included comments and curiosities about it. Eighteen shows were airplayed.Renato Társia recorded three albums in his musical career, and his repertoire as a songwriter includes more then 300 songs. He wrote ballads, blues, rock and the purest modern country music. A talented musician full of musical sensibility and geniuses creation, he has captivated a great audience and contributed for the formation of lots of bands in Minas Gerais state.On December 22nd, 2001, at the age of 53, he died of cardiac arrest due to coronary artery disease leaving a wife, four children, siblings, his mother and a countless number of friends and fans. ____________________________________________________________ _____ PORTUGUÊS Renato Tárisa nasceu em Belo Horizonte em 31 de janeiro de 1949. Aos 14 anos de idade, iniciou sua formação musical e aos 18 anos tornou-se músico profissional com a criação de sua primeira banda denominada “The Vips Four”, surgindo nessa época suas primeiras composições. Em seguida formou os outros grupos: “The Twengers”, “Boot Legs”, Castle Rock” “Mother Texas” e depois nasceram as bandas que foram batizadas com seu próprio nome. Durante muitos anos foi professor, tradutor e intérprete da língua inglesa e chegou a encenar várias peças teatrais como ator. Idealista e amante da natureza, se encantou com a vida além dos limites dos grandes núcleos urbanos, optando por viver em Lagoa Santa, onde construiu seu refúgio bem ao seu estilo. Viveu em Lagoa Santa de 1987 a 2001. Pioneiro da música Country no Brasil, Renato Társia é um nome conhecido não só em Minas Gerais, mas em outros estados também. Realizou shows em todas as grandes casas noturnas de Belo Horizonte, Lagoa Santa, em outras cidades mineiras, também em São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro e Goiás. Durante o ano de 1984 trabalhou na Rádio Alvorada de Belo Horizonte como apresentador de Hits da Country Music americana incluindo comentários e curiosidades. Foram ao todo 18 programas em um ano. Gravou três trabalhos ao longo de sua carreira como compositor e músico, tendo em seu repertório cerca de 300 músicas/letras de sua autoria. Suas composições incluem baladas, blues, rock e o mais puro country da atualidade. Dotado de grande sensibilidade musical e genialidade criativa cativou um enorme público e contribuiu para formações de diversas bandas mineiras. Em 22 de junho de 2001, aos 53 anos, faleceu, vítima de parada cardíaca por deficiência coronária, deixando esposa, 4 filhos, mãe, irmãos e um incontável número de amigos e fãs. |
