About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorPJ has always loved all kinds of music, from country to big band to R&B to gospel, and of course, rockabilly. His recordings reflect all of these influences. While being predominently a singer/songwriter, he also plays a pedal steel guitar, lead guitar and bass.

He has just finished working on his brand new project, It's All Coming Home, his first with the good folks at Hound Sound Music. There are 14 cuts, PJ wrote 7 of them solo, and the other 7 he had the opportunity to work with some great co writers, such as Gene Smith and Deb Ziems and two of his brothers, Keith and Steve. It is one you will want to add to your collection.

PJ has worked the entire eastern seaboard with the band. Along with PJ, Mike Meredith handles the drums, Lawrence Ealey on lead guitar and Paul Bland takes care of the keyboards. What a great sound!!!

There have been so many musical influences in PJ's career, including Merle Haggard, Frank Sinatra, Dick Curless, Bill Anderson, Johnny Cash, Mel Torme, Peggy Lee, and Benny Goodman. PJ has been doing radio work, on the air for over 20 years at stations in the eastern part of the U.S. He is playing music all of the time and if you catch him live, he is currently playing an LDG model, 3&4, through a tubefex processor, and a Nashville 400 amp. He also uses a 77 tele deluxe. ..

Story behind "Im Doing Better".

How much are you writing at one time?

I have been working on some new songs in the last couple of days, several of which are very pleasing to me.  You are right, if I can't please myself, who can I please?  But, right now I am t...

Just another Monday...and some thoughts.

When you are running all of the time, trying to keep up with life, taking care of the music and all that goes with it, sometimes you forget what you are actually doing and why you are doing it.  ...

Story behind "I'm Sober Now".

There is a story behind "Sober". No, this isn't a bio, although I am glad to say, that I am sober.   This has to do with a friend, really more of an acquaintance, I guess, from several ...

Is it spring, yet?

I haven't been around for a while, so, while taking in a few basketball games I thought I would think out loud for a while.  It is nice to be home for a change, but, it won't last long.  My ...

I wasn't sure if this was going to happen.......

Most of you that know me well, also know that I moved in September.  While I have really enjoyed where I am, now, for some reason, I have just not been able to write anything constructive for the...

The year is coming to an end

So, it is, the end of another year.  What have we done musically?  Is the writing any better?  Are the tunes more creative?  To be honest, I feel I have written my best s...
