| ABOUT ERIC MARTIN:
Eric Martin started his career for the band 415 that soon changed their name to Eric Martin Band (EMB) after they released their first album “Sucker for a Pretty Face.” EMB broke up after a 1984-85 ZZ Top tour, and after the band broke up, Eric continued his music career, and in 1985 and 1987 he released “Eric Martin” and “I’m Only Fooling Myself.” In 1988-89, Eric Martin, Billy Sheehan, Pat Torpey, and Paul Gilbert teamed up to form the band Mr. Big. Together they released 6 studio albums, countless hit singles, and 6 top-selling live CDs. All combined, worldwide sales top the 7 million mark. Eric then completed his third solo album “Somewhere in the Middle” and was released in Asia and Europe in 1998. In the summer of 2001, “Actual Size” was the last album released by Mr. Big, and their “Farewell Tour” took place in 2002 at the same time Eric was recording his fourth solo CD. “I’m Goin’ Sane”, Eric’s fourth solo CD, was soon released in Asia, Europe, and the U.S. in late 2002. Eric decided to go back to the studio and record “Pure”, an EP of his hits acoustically, after big success in a Japan tour, a European “Gods Festival”, and a 23 city U.S. tour. Eric went back to the studio in early 2004 to record “Destroy all Monsters” that was released in Europe, Japan, the U.S., and South America. In that same year, Eric got a call from Tak Matsumoto, the biggest guitar star in Japan. Tak’s band, B’z, sold over 80 million records and had success for over 12 years. Tak wanted to put together a band of his favorite players: Eric Martin which would be lead singer, Jack Blades (Damn Yankees/ Night Ranger) on bass, Chris Frasier (Steve Vai/ Edgar Winter/ Eddie Money) on drums, and Tak Matsumoto on guitar. They spent four months writing and recording their album in L.A., did a 10-day promotional tour followed by a Platinum album, and a sold out 20 city tour ending in Japan’s 15,000-seat arena in Budokan. Eric recently wrote and recorded the theme song to the show “Pride FC” on pay per view. The song, “The Last Man Standing” appeared on pay per view for millions of viewers on New Year’s Eve of 2006. Also, Eric wrote and recorded a song for guitar legend, Ronnie Montrose’s new CD, 10x10, which is coming out this year. Eric Martin still performs regularly in the U.S., Japan, and South America.
