Myspace.com/GinelleLago Priscilla Jayne was born and raised in south Florida; she’s part Cuban, part Costa Rican and completely intimate with the human soul. Through her high school, she performed in choir, musicals and was the designated singer to sing the National Anthem for soccer and basketball games. With a pad of paper and a pen in hand, Priscilla Jayne began writing short poems and later began to write lyrics. Priscilla Jayne was learning how to define herself through her writings. She wrote her way through her frustrations with the daily pressures of school, which left her with little time to pursue her music. Her mother is and always has been supportive of her career in music, but she advised Priscilla Jayne to get her Bachelor’s degree to secure her future. Straight out of high school, she forced herself through her career in college. Denying the luxuries of life like family trips and vacation time, she went through school without a break. Fall, spring and summer terms went without change; to her, it all seemed to have overlapped. Simultaneously, she was juggling her time with vocal lessons. She was on a mission to complete her Print Journalism degree at Florida International University in less than four years, so that she could focus on her desired career - music. As of April 2007, she has completed this mission. Though school may seem to have deviated Priscilla Jayne from her ultimate goal, it has given her the opportunity to define herself and to perfect her art – the written word. Priscilla Jayne is driven and ready to take you on the "Ride Of Your Life." Are you ready? |
