My name is Amber . How are you ?
Hmmm a little about me .... Im 34 , have just returned from the Uk where i was a chimp keeper ! I was lucky enough to hand raise 2 baby chimps !NOTHING will ever be as amazing !

Prior to this i worked with dolphins and seals www.petporpoisepool.com I had a great time as the show presenter / assistant trainer (Yes , i got to swim with them everyday )This is one of the only places in the world where you can sit and touch the dolphins all day . It's an AWSOME place . I am passionate about conservation and animal welfare.
For many years i worked in the entertainment industry as an actor / presenter then as an agent but needed to live my passion which is primate conservation .As an agent it is very difficult to here over and over again "I want to be famous" . I used my entertainment industry experience to get me in the door with animals and have never looked back !
How can anyone look into the eyes of these beautiful chimps and then put them on their dinner plate ? THEY DO !!! Believe or not , you can still buy chimpanzee bushmeat in some London and European cafe's TODAY ...
I get alot of people ask me about some amazing moments working with them . There are so many but one in particular stands out for me . If you have a look at my pic's you will see a chimp named Sammy . Sammy was previously used as a photographers prop along a beach . Chimps are very , very strong and can be aggressive . These photohraphers cannot control them once they reach the age of 4 or 5 and they are given valium , nicotine and alchohol to sedate them . Poor Sammy had much more trauma - Some of his teeth were knocked out (Without sedation)and with a hammer and chisel . His ears are floppy because he had cigarettes stubbed out on them . You would think that suffering so much at the hands of a human being that you would despise them . Sammy was the opposite . He was a lovely boy to work with . He loved being tickled and having his top lip pulled up over his nose but most amazing of all when we used to visit Sammy outside he would walk around his enclosure and pick whole bunches of flowers for you !!! He was always very pleased with himself when you took them . He even gave me a live toad once ! I couldnt believe it was still breathing - He had Sqeezed it through the bars !!!
The moral of this story - Please DO NOT EVER "PAY" to have your photo taken with an endangered primate - ANYWHERE ....I do have lots of other hobbies ;)
I love salsa (The dance , not dip !!)Salsa is such a HOT dance if you have never tried it - really give it a go ! and am really into fitness , history and theatre .
Spend alot of time at the gym and love going on adventures to new places
