At the age of 14, Cristina Russo started to play with a girls’ band, “The Fuck up” enriching in creativity in less than a year. The next step is the birth of the Guernica, whose Noise music followed her warm voice. In this period the Sicilian tour began. It was determinant the meeting with Luciano Nigro, guitarist and author, with who Cristina began to work more actively. They founded together the Orea, a group known for its Celtic and funk pop rhythm, that will make Cristina participate to the selections for San Remo Festival, to the Naples festival, the Red Ronnie’s tour and to other important events, such as the opening of the Tiromancino concert for the University of Catania Festival and regional performances, etc. Cris is a multifaceted singer and she managed to adapt her personal style to every music genre, though enriching it. Even if still young, she had the chance to work and cooperate with brilliant musicians, she participated for example to the Massimo Napoli and Salvo Borelli’s Koom-h project, that won a BBC award in the States. She participated and cooperated with the Archnué for their first album. She gave her voice to the group Montefiore during their tour in Sicily and works with Bassi Maestro. It is easy to meet her in the most popular clubs in Sicilia, while she improvises on lounge, house and jazz bases. She sang with Coccoluto, fARGETTA, dj Fiore and other famous dj’s.the songs in space about the project that sees Cristina as artist and author is coming true. The album has not been published yet, and it has seen the participation of Nicolò Fragile. To date she is the female voice of a famous Sicilian reggaemuffin band: MIMMO & Ritual the ClLUB and she participates to Italian tour with Marco Di DIo (voice and producer) Cristino Fabio Eremita (voice), Davide Arona (dj & drum), Sergio Emilio Galofaro(bass) Pino Bruno (guitar)Cristina is writing also a book, a mix of pictures, poetries and letters, and she’s actually looking for an editor. All’età di 14 anni Cristina Russo inizia a suonare in una coverband di sole donne: le Fuck Up iniziando a dirigersi, in meno di un anno, verso qualcosa di più creativo. Nascono presto i Guernica, in cui la dura musica Noise si accosta alla sua calda voce. E iniziano i vari spettacoli siciliani. Nel 2000 l’incontro con Luciano Nigro con cui Cristina costituirà il gruppo Orea che si fa subito notare, per le sonorità celtic & funk pop, e con cui Cris parteciperà alle selezioni di San Remo giovani, del Festival di Napoli, del Tim Tour di Red Ronnie e ad altre importanti manifestazioni, quali l’apertura del concerto dei Tiromancino, spettacoli regionali..ecc.. Cantante poliedrica, Cris si adatta con il suo personalissimo stile ad ogni genere, facendolo suo.Ciò è stato possibile vista la numerosità dei brillanti musicisti con cui ha avuto la possibilità di lavorare e collaborare.. Ha partecipato ad esempio al disco di Koom-h, progetto di Massimo Napoli Salvo Borrelli e Salvo Bruno, e vincitore di un premio BBC negli States. Cantato nel primo disco degli Archinuè, lavorato con Bassi Maestro. Ha donato la sua voce al gruppo Montefiore Cocktail nella sua data siciliana. La notte è facile trovarla nei più noti club siciliani mentre sfoggia una performance d’improvvisazione su basi longe, house a e jazz house. Ha cantAto sui dischi di Coccoluto, dj Fiore, Fargetta e altri famosi Dj, Il disco,ancora non edito, è stato realizzato in parte anche da Nicolo Fragile.È la terza voce del gruppo siciliano reggaemuffin MIMMO AND RITUAL THE CLUB e partecipa alla sua tournee italiana.. insieme a Marco Di DIo (voice) Cristino Fabio Eremita (voice), Davide Arona (drum), Sergio Emilio Galofaro(bass) Pino Bruno (guitar) .
