| In spring 2004 drummer Martin Fröwis and guitar player Tankred Bergmeister decided to start their own band. With Benjamin Märk and Florian Gerer they found two qualified musicians on the base and on the mic, but because of different preferences considering the sound, a line-up change was made: the Omission base player Andreas Danler and vocalist Werner Berchtold joined the band. Their musical background had a strong influence on the current sound.
Since that time dozens of songs were written until they played their first show in september 2004.
Up until now, H.A.L played on various occasions, in different countries, including a recent tour through Germany in January 2006 with metalcore act Never Die Alone.Among the bands they have played with either on festivals as headliner or support act were:
