He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on December 28, 2003. SSG. Jeffrey C Walker 33, of Havre de Grace, Maryland.Walker was onboard a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it crashed near Fallujah, Iraq while on a MEDEVAC mission.He was assigned to Company C, 782nd Main Support Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on January 8, 2004. Sgt. John M. Smith 22, of Wilmington, North Carolina.Smith died in Iskandariyah, Iraq, from injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Irwin, California. Died on May 12, 2005. Spc. Javier A. Villanueva 25, of Temple, Texas.Villanueva died in Al Asad, Iraq, of injuries sustained in Hit, Iraq, on November 23, 2005 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his dismounted patrol during combat operations.
