Hello Everyone! My name is Ed Martinez, I'm a Special FX artist and teacher. I've been a fixture of the Bay Area convention scene for years. Starting with an early interest in movies and special effects I plied my skills in numerous costume contests, haunted houses, and promotional events. Longing to make that last step into movies became a reality for me when I got a job leading the special effects department on "Dead Pit". I haven't stopped since. I also teach at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. The class is called Makeup 2: Character, Beauty & FX (MPT_303) and can be found at Academy Of Art I also teach at the Academy of Cosmetic Arts in Los Gatos, and Make Up Crew .I am a guest for SiliCon 2007 Oct. 5-7 at the Double Tree Hotel in San Jose. I will be hosting my Special Make-Up Effects "How To" panel with Nina Kempf.
