Sweeping and charismatic, Gianfranco Rizzo is without a doubt one of the more representative voices of the Apulian musical scene. From always gotten passionate of the Blues, Gianfranco, with its black voice, warm and powerful, has many fans in all the Puglia. After the successes with the Crossfire, the “GIANFRANCO Rizzo Blues band”, is one born new formation in order to express the soul in evocative atmospheres of the pub. With he in this adventure Marco Ancona, Ruggero Gallo and Paolo Provenzano of the “Bludivindia” and Paky “Hammond” Leo of the Crossfire. A band that it is literally depopulating in all its concerts, always turning out always much demand from the public and the organizers of the live. Merit of their strong personality, of the ability to know itself to transmit to the public the strong emotions that the Soul and Blues can give, of the great love for this evocative musical kind. The attempt of the “Gianfranco Rizzo Soul band”, that it is that one to carry the soul in the pub, to make to feel to the listener all loads emotional that this music encloses, aiming a lot at the immediacy. Gianfranco Rizzo has participated to the “National Harmonic Blues award” in Rome 1th and 2nd December 2001 with some of the best ones harmonicas bluesman than national reputation. He has participated to two editions of the “Festival Blues of Brindisi city” and to the semiends for “Pistoia Blues 2003”. Jam session with Arthur Miles and Sharrie Williams and Paul Griesbach Band to the Quasimodo of Berlin.

Travolgente e carismatico, Gianfranco Rizzo è senza dubbio una delle voci più rappresentative della scena musicale pugliese. Da sempre appassionato del Blues, Gianfranco, con la sua voce nera, calda e potente, ha molti fans in tutta la Puglia. Dopo i successi con i CROSSFIRE (Maurilio Mimmi al basso, Salvatore Russo alla Chitarra, Alessandro Napolitano alla Batteria e Paky Leo alle tastiere), la “GIANFRANCO RIZZO Soul band” è una nuova formazione nata per esprimere il Blues e il Soul nelle suggestive atmosfere dei pub e dei locali. Con lui in quest’avventura Marco Ancona, Ruggero Gallo e Paolo Provenzano dei "Bludivindia" e Paky Leo dei "Crossfire". Una band che sta letteralmente spopolando in tutti i suoi concerti, risultando sempre richiestissima dal pubblico e dagli organizzatori dei live. Merito della loro forte personalità, della capacità si saper trasmettere al pubblico le forti emozioni che il soul può regalare, del grande amore per questo suggestivo genere musicale. L’intento della “Gianfranco Rizzo Blues band”, che è quello di portare il soul nei locali, di far sentire all’ascoltatore tutta la carica emotiva che questa musica racchiude, puntando molto sull’immediatezza e la spontaneità Gianfranco Rizzo ha partecipato al “National Harmonic Blues award" tenutosi a Roma nel 2001 con alcuni tra i migliori armonicisti blues. Ha partecipato a due edizioni del “Festival Blues di Brindisi”, alle semifinali per “Pistoia Blues 2003” al I festival Blues di Caserta al "Trend & Blues festiva di Ruffano 2004" in collaborazione con Demo RAI. Jam session con Arthur Miles e Sharrie Williams e varie Band americane e Tedesche al "Quasimodo" di Berlino.
