Her unapologetic lyrics, gritty vocal qualities and experimentation with mixing elements of rock, pop, and blues set her apart from ordinary “chic singers.” In an interview with Heather Schutz, former writer for the Belmont Vision, Molly commented on the current state of the music industry, saying “There’s too much booty shaking and not enough music making.” Molly Morgan’s debut album, “Rain Boots and City Lights” features ten of Molly’s original songs, as well as nine talented Nashville-based musicians, including Hunter Castleberry, former drummer for Shane Bernard, and pianist Jason Dyba. Molly has been recently selected to perform in showcases such as Belmont University’s Student Composers Recital, and the A.S.C.A.P. Writers’ Night Series. She has performed at venues such as Smitty’s on Buckeye Lake, Water’s Edge Ministries, and the Curb Café in Nashville. | |
