| Helmut Engel-Musehold, born in 1956 at Heidenheim/Brenz, lives since 1974 mainly in Berlin and works as a free lance musician, composer and lecturer. The multi instrumentalist counts as a virtuoso master of his instruments and belongs to the most successful German musicians and composers in the border area of the jazz. He played with David Friedman, Markus Stockhausen, Trilok Gurtu, Carlos Bica, Gebhard Ullmann, John Schröder, Michael Rodach, Elena Ledda, Ulrich Moritz, Hans Hartmann, Ray Kaczinski ... and appears as a soloist and in different formations. The three CDs of his "Silent Jazz Ensemble" were praised in the media and were chosen by music magazines like "Stereoplay" and "HiFi vision" to records of the month or the year. Only in Germany 40,000 copies have been sold of it and worldwide he is represented with his music on more than 250,000 sound carriers. You can download the music of "The Silent Jazz Ensemble" at: endmix.de and musicload.de Helmut Engel-Musehold is since 1987 a lecturer at the music school of Berlin Kreuzberg, gives private lessons and leads since 1986 under the title "Abenteuer Musik" Workshops on different subjects in Germany, Italy and France. As a composer he writes music among other things for film, television and theater. Instruments: Tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone, bass transverse flute, transverse flute, piccolo, bamboo flutes, recorders, Educci flute, ocarina, Jew's harp, Percussion, voice, objects, wind converter ("Midisaxophon"). ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- Helmut Engel-Musehold, geb. 1956 in Heidenheim/Brenz, lebt seit 1974 vorwiegend in Berlin und arbeitet als freischaffender Musiker, Komponist und Dozent. Der Multiinstrumentalist gilt als virtuoser Meister seiner Instrumente und gehört zu den erfolgreichsten deutschen Musikern und Komponisten im Grenzbereich des Jazz. Er spielte u. a. mit David Friedman, Markus Stockhausen, Trilok Gurtu, Carlos Bica, Gebhard Ullmann, John Schröder, Michael Rodach, Elena Ledda, Ulrich Moritz, Hans Hartmann, Ray Kaczinski, Friedemann Witecka, Ulrich Maiß und tritt als Solist und in unterschiedlichen Formationen auf. Die drei CDs des von ihm geleiteten "Silent Jazz Ensemble" wurden in den Medien hochgelobt und von Musikzeitschriften wie "Stereoplay" und "HiFi-Vision" zu Platten des Monats bzw. des Jahres gekürt. Allein in Deutschland wurden davon 40.000 Exemplare verkauft und weltweit ist er mit seiner Musik auf über 250.000 Tonträgern vertreten. Helmut Engel-Musehold ist seit 1987 Dozent an der Musikschule Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, gibt Privatunterricht und leitet seit 1986 unter dem Titel „Abenteuer Musik“ Workshops zu unterschiedlichen Themen in Deutschland, Italien und Frankreich. Als Komponist schreibt er Musik u.a. für Film, Fernsehen und Theater.
