About Me |
|
The Bacheler Consort is named after the English lute virtuoso Daniel Bacheler (1572–1619), a most imaginative composer of instrumental music during the late Elizabethan era. The Consort varies its ensemble size and instrumental lineup to offer a variety of music concerts, from intimate recitals of lute music, played on a matched set of gut-strung Renaissance lutes (soprano, tenor, and bass), to fully-staged masques and dramatic works employing a mixed consort (lute, violin, bass viol, flute, cittern, bandora) and dancers from the New York Historical Dance Company.Professional MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider |
