| Definito dalla critica come uno dei più noti e apprezzati chitarristi italiani sulla scena internazionale, Flavio Cucchi ha tenuto centinaia di recital in America, Europa, Asia e Australia partecipando a trasmissioni radiotelevisive delle più importanti emittenti del mondo (BBC, RAI, ZDF, Bayerischer Rundfunk, Televisa Mexico, Television Corporation of Singapore, Radio Praga e altre).?Come solista ha suonato in più di trenta città europee con orchestre quali: Orchestra della Toscana, English Chamber Orchestra, Radio Brno Chamber Orchestra, Guitar Symphonietta, Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, Orchestra Toscanini, Orchestra dell’ ATER, Orchestra nazionale dei Paesi Baschi ecc.?Sempre aperto a nuove esperienze artistiche, ha collaborato con artisti di aree diverse (teatro, letteratura,) come l’ attore Carmelo Bene e il poeta americano premio Pulitzer per la poesia Yusef Komuniakaa che gli ha recentemente dedicato “Ode alla chitarra”
Dal 1986 è titolare della cattedra di chitarra presso L’Istituto di alta cultura “Mascagni” di Livorno, tiene inoltre Masterclass in Italia, USA, Giappone, Messico, Singapore ecc.
il grande pianista Chick Corea dedicandogli una sua composizione ha scritto in una rivista americana: "Ascoltando un musicista abile e creativo come Flavio, sono stato ispirato a scrivere per lui e la sua chitarra...
