Formed in 2002, Collinz Room is the brainchild of singer/guitarists Ric Amieva and Jon Whitton, two ambitious artists with a knack for connecting emotions. After the band's early experiment with multiple players they found the voice of their rhythm section in heavy bassist Jay McNeal. Latin rock drummer Jose "Chocs" Campos completed the quad.With strong but vulnerable vocals, Collinz Room has defined their straight forward sound that critics have called "a blend of raw rock with a soulful edge" (James James, Speak EZ Radio), and "a flavored addiction that begs for more" (Shawn Plunket, Flare Magazine).The two time winners of the Los Angeles Music Awards (Sonicbids contest, and best rock song in a major motion picture soundtrack) have played hundreds of amazing venues, festivals, and charities including the Los Angeles Music Awards, Mtv's Campus Courtyard, Tide Fest, Charities for Cancer research, and the Rocker's for life.
