| With influences from the 60’s Psychedelia, 70’s Acid Rock, 80’s New Wave and Punk, into the Seattle Grunge movement, Jazz, and everything in between, Euphrates has a very retro feel with a modern edge to it.......The project originated by singer/songwriter Herb Euphrates who spent most of his musical experience playing drums in various bands and projects throughout the years. After exhaustive efforts of trying to find the right group of motivated musicians he decided to start his own project, a dream he had been pondering for several years. His concept was to take all the elements of rock through the ages, blend them all together, to come up with a different sound that would be timeless.......Adding to it a tasteful lyrical content of a love meaning purpose; the reason why we, as human beings are really here; not to hate, cause war, destroy, kill, or mistreat, but to love one another as our creator loves us…unconditionally. After all there are only two kinds of people in this world; those who love and those who hate. There is no neutrality. We are either for the goodness of mankind, or we are for the destruction of mankind. There is no walking the fence, no in between… Unless, of course you live in a parallel reality of some sort, where you have no contact with humanity at all.........
Together, with long time friend, guitarist Adam Sitruk, and bassist Chuck Hill, Euphrates has been producing a self-titled debut album due out by fall of 2008.......
