..Hello all, this is Miss Lissa, your friendly local crazy redhead with a hot rockin' blues Company and we are ready to put all our BEST BLUES forward with an exciting line-up. What a lucky girl!! Miss Lissa, aka Melissa Young, has been joined by some of the finest musical talent the Miami Valley has to offer. Taking up for us in the lead guitar department is the amazing Eric Henry of Midnight Blue, we also have Mike Jordan kickin it on Piano and Organ and laying down the rhythms we have Marty Romie on Bass and Rob Adamson on Drums. C'mon out and join the party- our show aims to move you in every way possible. MISS LISSA and COMPANY ARE PROUD TO BE THE SECOND PLACE WINNERS AT BOTH the 2007 and 2008 CINCINNATI BLUES CHALLENGES!!! This year, it was a red hot competition- in a lot of ways... there were 21 bands that played, and we were merely one out of nine bands that had female artists as a feature. Everyone was playing their best blues possible- thankfully we were too. We were lucky to have placed second out of a sea of 21 GREAT bands!!We would like to sincerely congratulate RICKY NYE INC. on their WIN and we also wish them all a world of fortune at the IBC in Memphis this winter... Also, major congratulations go to Them Bones with Cheryl Renee for their 3rd place finish- what an accomplishment with such a vast field!! Please mark your calendars now- we are told we will be playing at the Cincinnati Blues Festival on Friday, August 1- in the headlining slot on the local stage.
