| Abyss tiene sus orígenes en el año 1997 bajo el nombre de Perversión. En esos tiempos los hermanos Pablo y Camilo Figueroa tocaban metal influenciados por el thrash y death de los años 80’s. De este periodo son los primeros temas de la banda; temas en español como Tiempo de Destrucción y Violencia y Ambición.En el año 2000 después de varios cambios en su alineación la banda pasa a llamarse ABYSS siendo su alineación Pablo Figueroa en guitarra, Camilo Figueroa en batería y Omar Moreno en voz y bajo.El año 2001 la banda graba su primer material un demo llamado “Darkness Around You” con tres temas: Mark of Death, Army of Hate y Sentence; cuyo lanzamiento se realizó en octubre de ese mismo año en La Trifulka junto a Abhorrent y Deforme.En el año 2003, después de un receso Abyss vuelve a los escenarios y prepara su próximo material.En el año 2004 la banda graba un EP de seis temas llamado “Under the Shadows of Evil” que contiene los temas: Mastermind, System of Confusion, Violencia y Ambición, Godspend, Tiempo de Destrucción y Gritos de Muerte. En este mismo año se une a la banda otra guitarra a cargo de Carlos Moreno. Esta alineación dura hasta fines del 2005.A partir del 2006 Abyss vuelve a ser un trío y en agosto de ese año se hace el lanzamiento de EP en la Batuta junto a Santa Sangre y Ancienterror.Marzo de 2007 fue el debut de Daniel Bustos como guitarrista. Actualmente Abyss prepara su material 2008 ya pronto a grabar.BIO... English version coming soon...
