"I don't understand how this happened. I wanted to be a Soul Train dancer NOT a musician. To quote John Lennon after his quote about Jesus was taken out of context, 'Now it's all THIS!' Can I PLEASE speak to Don Cornelius, he said this was 'all gonna be a stone gas, honey, and its always in party we wish you love, PEACE and SOOUUULLL!!'. No soul train for me." Studying Jazz in music school nearly killed me (yes, I'm one of those) but I soon realized that I'm not meant to be Bud Powell. I'm a singer/songwriter/musician in that order. It's a good thing that I figured it out just in time to help save the lives of over 1000 children. No joke, I worked for The Songs Of Love Foundation which provides recordings of original songs in every style and every language for children who are chronically ill or have life threatening diseases, free of charge.
