Festival in english: Vikedal is a small and beautiful village with a population about 850 persons in the middle of the Norwegian fjords close to Haugesund, Stavanger and Bergen. Vikedal Roots Music Festival is a very well reputated festival, and the biggest rootsfestival in western Norway. Our main concerts are held inside a tent on a 2800 m2 size. 15-18 conserts are held during 4 days. The festival is supported by the Norwegian culture council. For info about our festival: www.rootsfestival.no Vikedal Roots M. Festival på norsk: Vikedal Roots Music Festival arrangeres 12-15 juli 2007. Vikedal ligger svært vakkert til 5 mil øst for Haugesund i Rogaland. VRMF arrangeres for 9 året, og har hatt artister som The Dubliners, Joan Armatrading, The Waterboys, Ileen Ivers, Kaizers Orchestra, Bjørn Berge, Odd Nordstoga, Knut Reiersud og mange fler. Festivalen støttes av Norsk kulturråd. Vår headliner i 2006 var Madrugada, av andre artister hadde vi Dan Bairds Georgia Satellites, Claudia Scott, Helldorado, Henning Kvitnes mm. Konsertene på hovedscenen skjer i et stort telt som vi eier i lag med Skånevik Bluesfestival. Intimkonserter holdes i Vikedal Båthavn. Festivalen holder ca. 15 -18 konserter/artister der programmet består av rootsmusikk.
