Luego viaja a Paris Francia donde hace parte del trío multiétnico FREAKY JAM. En 2002, JONTRE regresa a Colombia a preparar su carrera como solista, proyectándose al mundo del R&B y Pop latino. JONTRE además ha participado como artista y productor musical en otros proyectos de la escena nacional e internacional.Luego de la experiencia vivida con su anterior álbum ENLAZADO (2005), con el que logró diferentes reconocimientos - artista invitado al Festival Internacional Altavoz (2007), nominación como mejor artista Urbano a los Premios Shock (2006), compilado de varios artistas de universal music latino (2005), Festival Internacional Altavoz (2005), - JONTRE estrena LOCURALEZA (2008), una producción discográfica que trae el sabor de la música latina, la sensualidad de los ritmos afro-americanos y la frescura del R&B y el Pop latino.***************************************************** *********************************************** ************************************************************ ******************************************JONTRE's musical experience begins in the local scene with the band Cool Young, resulting in the album called "DEJATE LLEVAR" (1999).
