Jimmy Davis- An accomplished, classically trained musician, Jimmy spent some time in his life "paying the bills" (as well as his dues), as a studio session bassist and drummer in the cities of Philadelphia, New York, Boston, the California Bay Area and in Los Angeles, one of his fondest memories of that time in his life was being in Black Bull Studios in Los Angeles, California... "I really got a charge out of being in Stevie Wonders' private recording studio, I learned some very useful things while I was there". Jimmy's first public solo was played at 11 years of age on his third instrument, by that time, the French Horn. Since the age of 11 or 12 he has had a great interest in the freedom of non-classical music, (Gospel-R&B-Funk-Rock & Roll), so as a hobby he started playing the Electric Bass Guitar and Drums. This hobby led to him becoming a studio musician at Philly International Records. Currently providing his services as a Studio Session Bassist - Director of Photography and Film Editor for broadcast television and "Indy" projects Jimmy says he has one of the best "Jobs" in the world... ..I consider myself as one of the fortunate few who truly enjoy what they do for a living... Trust me, when you see Jimmy Davis playing, you will quickly realize that he indeed enjoys every single note and every single moment while he is doing what he does for a living!
