My Interests |
|
Music:Member Since: 01/01/2007Band Website: http://www.edwardhamlin.com Band Members: Just me. Influences: Though I don't compose or play anything like him, my lifelong guitar hero has been John McLaughlin - not that I like everything he does, but his mastery and commitment to his art never fail to inspire me. More kindred spirits include a slew of fingerstyle players both famous and not so famous, some standout flatpickers like Tony Rice, a number of horn players like Stan Getz, and some improv monsters like Keith Jarrett and John Scofield. Trane and Dizz too.I listen to a lot of African and Brazilian (and Afro-Brazilian) music and am a long-time aficionado of Indian classical music. On the classical side I'm drawn to Beethoven, Ravel, Chopin, Gorecki, Satie and lots more...guess I'm all over the place stylistically, but they all speak to some part of me. Sounds Like: Sounds like a dumb question for any serious musician to answer straight. Record Label: INDEPENDENT |
