| I am widowed, My late wife Lynne passed away after a long struggle with Cervical Cancer on Feb 17th 2006. For 3 years, I watched Lynne, the Love of my life for so many wonderful years suffer from some degree of pain or discomfort every moment she was awake. Never able to do any more to help her than to simply be there for her, hoping it would be enough. She went from a beautiful woman of 180lbs to 76lbs. I believe that we should never let the one who is so close to us, ever wonder how we feel about them, never again would I want hold the hand of a loved one departing this world, hoping that they truely knew how I feel about them. We should never take for granted that the one we cherish so dearly in this world, knows how we feel toward them. This is a common feeling among us, who have had our loved ones taken from us, but sadly enough far to many learn this lesson too late, and live with the regret and anquish for so long afterward.I have close ties with Lynne's British family. Lynne's father Norman died of cancer in 1984, Lynne's Mum Joan lives in Somerset, England. She was the only person in the world who could get Lynne to do something, that she did not want to do. She has four other sisters, Gillian, Joanne, Karen and Katrina who all live in England. Lynne and I first met in England, while I was stationed there, We first met on Nov 10 1983, in a Pub called "The Sailor's pub", in Newquay, Cornwall England. We were engaged on Nov 15th and Married on May 19th 1984. She told me later that she had seen me in that pub two weeks earlier and had she decided then that I was the one for her, as I was walking out of the pub that night, a hand reach out of the crowd and took hold of me and said " Ohy Mate, sit down, I want to chat you up a bit." We were still married for 23 wonderful years later.I have a Daughter and Grandson, with twins on the way one boy and one girl. I also have three sons who passed away at early ages, Stuart (6mo), Sammy(1year) and Alastair(11 years). My Daughter and I share a very special and un-breakable bond, for we both have seen life at its very worst many times over. We both have learned the special meaning of life, from a person who never gave up on her enduring zest for life and always keeping her very special sense of humor to the very end. I am retired from the service serving for 20 years in the USMC and U.S Army. I am currently a Electronics Technician with a communcations company. I have a very nice and lovable 250 pound English Mastiff name Lance, I also have a very lovable beagle and basset hound mix name Buddy. Who are my best friends, we love to go on long walks together. I am also truely blessed to have the most beautiful women you can imangine, Lynne awaits for me in the world to come, she was my dearest and only Love for so many beautiful and wonderful years. She is a part of me, she is always in my heart and a part my life still. I am especially blessed to have a very special friend in my life, We both share a very special understanding of each other, for having each endured the loss of our dearest Loved ones. Lynne over a painful three year period, and her's killed suddenly in a accident. We both know how so very important it is for us, to show those so close to us how so very special they are to us. For we both in our own unique way know just how very short and precious life is, and how tragically and suddenly death can tear apart all that we cherish so dearly. She will always be my very special friend in confidence and comfort. Even in absence, she can calm the spirit, a rare quality in a friend. This site by me, is an attempt by me to let the world know in a open and friendly manner, that at one time, invisible to many, there existed in this world the most beautiful and wonderful person you could ever possibly imangine, She endured so much during her life, and in the years, months, weeks and days to the end, but she never gave up on her incredible zest for life, her enduring will to survive, she was always there for her friends and family. She left behind a legacy of lessons of life, for all who knew her then, and for those to came to know and understand her late. It is also a site for those who visit, to not only get to know of her and us, but too have abit of fun with as well, as she would of liked it. So feel free to be her friend as late. You never know, who might just pay you a vist in the world to come some day, an Angel with a funny British accent, if only just to say Thank You. as I do now. Just be warned, don't ask her if she is Irish. A Brit and Irish thing there. | |

Television:Like to watch British Comedy and Mystery, Takes a special understanding to enjoy the British sense of humor, which I got from Lynne and my time there. Like the Vicar of Dibley, Yes Minister, Wire in the Blood, Sherlock Holmes and Midsommer Murder. |

Books:Like to read short story books like Chicken Soup books, also love Cival War history books, love to read of the inner personal relationship of brother against brother at war, the the odditys that came out of the war. |

Heroes:Lynne is my Hero, the bravest person you can imangine. Who never gave up hope and the love of life, even when the pain and the days were the darkest, She never gave up,even a week before her death, at 76lbs barely able to stand for 1 minute, knowing that it would not cure her, but that it might give her just a little longer, me and her family and friends on this earth. She had a very powerful chemo treatment, knowing it could kill her as well...It did. |
