"I was 16 when I got into music, which was the same time I started getting hammered with my friends and doing more than my fair share of drugs (They have pretty much gone hand in hand ever since.) A high school friend and I decided, in a bored drunkin stooper, that we would start a band. I was to play guitar and sing, and he would take up the drums. A few years later, I picked up a bass and I was hooked. Doing a bunch of regional touring with other bands, I saw that nothing was progressing. In August of 2004, Hinder came into the picture. Three shows later we were signed by Universal Records, and the drunkin madness began."
