January 18, 2008 UPDATE LONG OVERDUE For those that still visit and to those new and have been wondering where I've been and why the page hasn't been updated. One word to define it, 'laziness'. I apologize, I might start updating it more often with music and sports news since there aren't many album releases coming out. Leave me some comments people. SPORTS NEWS NBA ALL-STAR GAME 2008 The All-Star games are coming up and you'll see your favorite stars play or at least hope some of them do as I'm not really a big fan of Kobe and I thought McGrady had more votes than Iverson but he's prone to injuries, it was a better decision. At least the reserves list involves Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison and Steve Nash. I'm glad 2 of the Wizards are represented! It'd be Arenas if he wasn't injured. But I really hope Agent Zero makes a return to his full speed without any upcoming injuries as McGrady hasn't had much luck with that. http://www.nba.com/allstar2008/ --------------------------------- What a surprise as the Wizards are the first NBA team to beat the new & improved Celtics in back to back games. But shouldn't someone tell them to stop wearing these gold jerseys as they look kind of...cheap? Hold up, it came out in 2007. But it feels more like a 2008 album. You know what I mean. The melodies on this album take you through many different laid back moments from peaceful heavenly sounds to gloomy moments to street sounds from the alley. Songs like 'Weird Fishes..' make you feel motivated to study your ass off for that next exam while songs like 'All I Need' give you that eerie feeling like you're in a music video while listening to your iPod roaming the streets. I enjoy 'Reckoner' as one of my favorite songs as it incorporates a little Hip-Hop into like you may hear from Nujabes. 'Down Is The New Up' is probably the best song I've heard in awhile as this dark piano theme marks the song of all songs on this double disc album. As this album stays at the top of the charts for awhile, as soon as you pop it in, you'll understand why. Rating: 4/5 --------------------------------- .. |
