As a member of various bands for a number of years, the growing urgency to begin recording albums and have a committed band prompted the writing of the riffs that would become the debut album "Awakening of the Beast." With the enormous help of Dan's cousin Rob Menak, who shared about a 10 year history in jamming with eachother and have a serious click when playing together, the songs began to take shape. Dan and Rob's old bandmate James Danzo joined on second guitar during the mastering stages of the album. The style of Castrofate is derived from the influence of old school heavy metal like Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Death, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden. With the release of their debut album under their belt, some well-received radio play, and some intense live performances, Castrofate are working on the follow-up to Awakening of the Beast and are set to conquer!
